Q3: Who qualifies for Diowave Laser Therapy?
A: Not every patient or condition qualifies. Before beginning treatment, each patient must undergo a detailed exam and therapeutic assessment by Dr. B. Timothy Harcourt. This ensures that laser therapy is appropriate, targeted, and likely to meet your health goals. We do not provide laser therapy without this qualification step.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q4: Is the treatment painful?
A: No — most patients describe the experience as relaxing or gently warming. The laser penetrates tissue without cutting, burning, or damaging the skin.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q5: How long is each session?
A: Sessions typically range from 500-800 seconds (approximately 8-12 minutes/area) depending on the treatment area and condition severity. We value your time and keep appointments efficient and focused.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q6: How many sessions will I need?
A: Based on your exam and treatment goals, you’ll be offered either a 6-session or 12-session care package. Acute injuries often respond to treatment within six sessions, while chronic or more complex conditions may require a comprehensive 12-session plan. Disc herniations, chronic sciatica, and failed neck or back surgical cases may take up to 36 treatments, depending on severity and duration of chronicity.

Q7: Is this therapy part of Club C?
A: No. Diowave Laser Therapy is no longer included in Club C due to the specialized equipment and time involved. This is now offered as a premium, stand-alone service, designed for faster and more effective healing.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q8: Is Diowave Laser Therapy safe?
A: Yes. It’s FDA-cleared, non-invasive, and drug-free. When performed by trained professionals, it has no known long-term side effects and is considered highly safe. There are rare circumstances in which we will not apply the laser, and this is one of the reasons for the qualification exam.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q9: When will I feel relief?
A: Some patients feel improvement after the first session, especially with acute conditions. For most people, noticeable results occur within the first 3–4 visits. Full benefit is usually seen by the end of the recommended treatment package.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q10: Is it covered by insurance?
A: Diowave Laser Therapy is not typically covered by insurance. However, we offer package pricing that reflects the high value and effectiveness of this therapy. Payment plans may be available upon request.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q11: How do I get started?
A: Call or stop by to schedule a qualifying exam with Dr. Harcourt. Once you’re clinically approved for care, we’ll explain your customized plan and help you begin the path to faster healing.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q12: Do you offer a free laser treatment to try it out?
A: No — and here's why. One session isn’t enough to determine if laser therapy will work for you. Diowave Laser Therapy is a cumulative process that builds momentum over multiple sessions.
To respect your time and the power of the technology, we only offer treatment through structured care plans, starting with 6 or 12 sessions.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q13: How can I find out if I qualify for laser care?
A: We offer a no-charge qualifying exam with Dr. B. Timothy Harcourt. During this visit, we’ll assess your condition, therapeutic goals, and overall candidacy for Diowave Laser Therapy. This ensures we only recommend care to those who are likely to benefit.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q14: Why do you require a minimum of six sessions?
A: Laser therapy stimulates your body’s natural healing response, which requires consistent application. Based on both research and patient outcomes, we’ve found that six sessions are the minimum needed to activate long-term healing. Treating only once or twice doesn’t provide lasting results, and we’re here for genuine solutions, not temporary fixes.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q15: What if I’m unsure whether it’s worth committing to a package?
A: That’s precisely why we start with a no-cost qualifying exam — to give you expert insight without financial risk. If you’re a candidate, we’ll clearly explain your personalized plan, answer your questions, and let you decide if the commitment is exemplary for you.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q16: Are your laser treatment packages refundable if I change my mind or stop early?
A: Our laser care packages are non-refundable once treatment has started. However, we do offer flexible value rollover:
Any unused laser sessions may be applied toward other services in our office, such as chiropractic care, spinal rehabilitation, or balance training, at their normal equivalent value.
This allows you to retain full value while choosing the services that best meet your evolving needs.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q17: Why can’t I try one laser treatment to see if it works?
A: Diowave laser therapy doesn’t just mask your pain — it stimulates your body’s healing systems at the cellular level.
One session may create a short-term benefit, but the real results happen cumulatively, as healing momentum builds over time. That’s why a minimum of 6 sessions is needed — to give your body the full signal it needs to repair and restore function.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q18: What happens during each laser session that makes repetition important?
A: Each laser session increases blood flow, reduces inflammation, and stimulates mitochondrial activity (your cells' energy factories). Think of it like watering a plant — one drink helps, but consistent nourishment is what makes it grow strong and healthy.
Every session builds on the last, activating more profound healing and restoring your body’s natural rhythm.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q19: I felt better after one or two sessions — why keep going?
A: That’s a great sign! But early relief is just the beginning. Stopping too soon may cause symptoms to return, as the underlying tissue damage has not yet fully healed.
We want more than symptom relief — we aim for lasting results. Completing your treatment plan is the best way to achieve that.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q20: What if my friend said they only needed one laser treatment?
A: Some clinics offer low-level or class III lasers, which may focus more on short-term pain relief than true cellular healing. Our High-Dosage Diowave Laser is different — it’s designed to produce deep, therapeutic change, not temporary numbing. That process requires repetition to deliver consistent, measurable progress.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q21: What if I can’t commit to 6 or 12 sessions right now?
A: Healing takes commitment, but we’re here to work with your goals and schedule. If you’re unsure, start with a no-charge qualifying exam, and we’ll discuss a plan that fits your health needs and your timeline.
We want to help you heal, not just feel better for a day.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q22: What’s the difference between Class III (low-level) and Class IV (high-dosage) lasers?
A: Class III (low-level) lasers — sometimes called “cold lasers” — emit low power and are typically used for surface-level pain relief. They may temporarily reduce symptoms, but often don’t reach deeper tissues.
Our Class IV Diowave Laser delivers high-dosage energy that penetrates deeply into muscles, joints, and connective tissue, triggering a robust cellular healing response.
This allows us to treat severe and chronic conditions that low-level lasers can’t reach.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q23: Why does that matter for my recovery?
A: Class IV lasers don’t just mask symptoms — they stimulate real healing.
Deeper penetration allows us to address the root cause of pain, rather than just the surface irritation. This is especially important for conditions such as disc herniations, rotator cuff injuries, and sacroiliitis, where deep tissue healing is crucial.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q24: I’ve tried laser therapy before, and it didn’t help — is this different?
A: Yes — very different. Many patients who didn’t respond to low-level lasers or light wands do feel significant improvement with Class IV Diowave care.
It’s like comparing a flashlight to a floodlight — both produce light, but only one can illuminate deeply enough to make a lasting difference.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q25: Are follow-up laser treatments required?
A: They are not required, but if whatever you did to cause the original problem continues, you may want follow-up laser treatments to get you back on track.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q26: Will I receive a different person for my laser treatments each time?
A: No- You will get a consistent Laser Technician each time.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q27: How is my progress monitored?
A: You will be evaluated every six lasers by Dr. Tim Harcourt to ensure you are responding as expected and to determine if adequate treatment has been applied for your complete recovery. It should be noted that temporary pain relief is entirely different than complete healing and recovery.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q28:If I have 2 or 3 areas that require treatment, can I divide the treatment time between the regions?
A: A full dose of laser is required for each area of the problem. Dividing the treatment between areas will minimize the actual benefit and response to treatment leaving you feeling as though it didn't fix any one area. So the answer is no. You may get a full dose to more than one area during treatment, provided there is adequate time in the schedule to do so. For this reason, all lasers are scheduled in advance only.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
Q29: How much time should I allow for my first visit?
A: If your new patient forms are completed before your arrival, plan for 30-45 minutes from the time we first see you. If you would like to fill out forms at the office, please allow 60 minutes for the first visit.
